Product information and sizing

What's the difference between the bat grades?

Each and every cleft and cricket bat is graded internally by our team. We grade our bats due to the aesthetic nature of the willow and whilst some of our bats may feature slight imperfections and blemishes, the performance of the bat is NOT affected.

In general, our grading system reflects the following:

  • LIGNUM: a bat featuring the odd blemish - including knots or butterflies.
  • PLAYER: a bat with minimal imperfections, typically featuring 5 - 6 grains
  • PRO: a bat with almost no imperfections, typically featuring 5 - 7 grains
  • SE: a bat with zero imperfections, typically featuring 7 - 12 tight grains.

How do I know what is the correct bat size for me?

Bat sizes differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. It's important to know that the handles of all bats size three and above will be approximately 12 inches in length. You can view our bat sizing guide to find out more.

Are you able to send photographs of a bat prior to purchase?

Yes. We are able to send photographs to customers. However, we are a small team and demand for our time is high, but we will endeavour to fulfil your request and we can promise you that we will not compromise on the quality of your bat. You can contact us on WhatsApp: +44 7879 560 064.

Do I need to knock my bat in when it arrives?

No you don't have to! We meticulously knock in all of our cricket bats by hand, meaning you can begin using them as soon as it leaves our workshop.

Can I also order soft goods and gear bundles?

Absolutely! Whilst it is very cost effective to ship a single bat, the carriage cost does unfortunately increase significantly when soft goods such as pads, gloves and bags are added. Our bundles do offer great value for money (cricket bat, bag, pads and gloves) and carriage costs are approximately £120.00.

What sizes do you offer for pads and gloves?

We provide batting pads and gloves in both adult, youth and junior sizes. In some instances, we can also offer XL adult sizes in gloves and pads. For more information, please see our Size Guides.
