ENGLAND international cricketer Charlie Dean along with her Southern Vipers team mate Emily Windsor were at the Millichamp and Hall bat making workshop in Taunton recently to give their support to a charitable venture that is being undertaken by two Holyrood School students.
During the summer holidays Milly Tucker and Megan Wrenn who both live near Ilminster and are currently in the process of taking their GCSE exams will be flying to Cambodia, Asia, for a school expedition with Camps International.
During the four weeks that they are there the girls will take part in community and environmental projects, including helping to build sustainable housing, schools and toilets.
Milly who plays cricket for Broadway and Horton said: “It’s a really exciting opportunity for us to go out and help others and at the same time learn about a different culture.
“After covid we are looking forward to venturing out abroad and we are just so grateful for the amazing support that we have received from Millichamp and Hall and many other local businesses.
“However we are still a little bit short of our target so if there is anyone out there who feels able to help us out please log onto our GoFundMe page and type in Meg and Milly’s Cambodia Experience.”
England cricketer Charlie Dean said: “This is an amazing initiative and as members of the Millichamp and Hall family we are delighted to be able to support Milly and the rest of the team in such a worthwhile charitable cause.”
