3 Bats, 4000 Runs

3 Bats, 4000 Runs

I hope you’re all as sad as we are to see the end of this years cricket season. It’s been fantastic to watch the M&H Family on show across all three formats. There has been some outstanding performances, here is our quick round up of the players that have been the most eye-catching.

Firstly, we have a name that is forever on the lips of the fans at Nevil Road. James Bracey, a consistent high performer, has bettered even his usual high standards this year. Finishing the year as the 5th highest run scorer in the County Championship, scoring an incredible 1089 runs in total. Bracey racked up four 100s and three 50s, averaging 60.50 with a high score of 207*. He was just as prolific in the white ball formats, scoring 179 ODI runs and 251 T20 runs, helping Gloucester to win the competition!

Our next stand out performer will be no surprise, having had a fantastic few seasons since moving to Middlesex, Ryan Higgins was in great form again this year! Scoring a total of 1133 runs in 18 innings, including five 100s, he ended the season as the 4th highest run scorer in the County Championship. Ryan was also an integral part of the Middlesex's white ball campaign, scoring 166 runs in the T20 Blast.

Our final standout player for the year is arguably the biggest! This man has been on fire this year. Scoring 2001 runs across all formats this season, it can only be one man, King Colin Igram! Alongside his unbelivable scoring, Colin has incredibly only used one bat this season! He’s used the same bat for every net session, every red ball game and every white ball match. Colin and his F200 were the highest run scorers in the County Championship with 1351 runs averaging 90.06, including five 100s and six 50s. He also notched up 353 T20 Blast runs!

In celebration of their achievements, we're giving you the chance to get your hands on exact replicas of the bats used by James, Colin and Ryan this season! Take a look here:
