We’ve been incredibly excited for the build up for the start of the season and even more so now it’s begun. It’s always an honour to watch our player wield their favourite M&H blade out in the middle
There’s been some fantastic early season performances from our players, the most notable being of course James Rew, becoming the youngest player to score 10 first class centuries. His performances haven’t gone unnoticed, earning him his first England call up for the test against Zimbabwe.
Jamie Overton has just finished a successful stint out in the IPL, returning to feature in England’s T20 campaign against the West Indies.
Mitchell Killeen had a great season last year for Durham, winning their young player of the year award. He’s continued this form and has been rewarded with a call up to the PCC Select XI to play against Zimbabwe, taking two early wickets on the first day.
Another consistent performer has been Colin Ingram, scoring over 2000 runs last year! Colin has continued this season, with scores of 103, 77*, 81 and 64 in the opening few weeks of the County Championship. Every time he walks out to bat we’re sure he’s going to score runs!
We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for our players, we’ll be watching eagerly!
