First up a massive congratulations must go to Warwickshire’s Hamza Shaikh for making his List A debut against Sussex on Friday the 12 of August. 16-year-old Shaikh scored 25 from 43 balls before being run out. Shaikh also represented the England test squad as the 12th man during the India series. Shaikh will be eager to further his development and see his role within the Warwickshire system grow over the next two years.
Two of our M&H sponsored pros Ian Holland and CP Rizwan met this week up in Aberdeen for the first time. Holland representing the United States was meant to take on Rizwan’s UAE side. However, the game was cancelled without a ball being played due to the weather. Despite this, both were in good spirits as they posed with their M&H blades.
On the mention of Scotland, M&H is delighted to sign Scotland international Andy Umeed (pictured below), previously of Warwickshire. Umeed has not played professional cricket for more than four years. However, his hard work and the support from the South Asian Cricket Academy have given Umeed another chance in the professional game.
This week concludes the King’s Cricket Festival. It's been great to see so many M&H family members from all over the UK. We have also been thrilled to welcome more customers to the M&H family of all ages. We hope you have enjoyed your time here at our tour Taunton store and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.
A final mention must go to Jack Leach and the England cricket team who begin their three match test series against South Africa this week at Lords. We look forward to seeing the Original blade in action.
